The Amateur Radio Relay Group, Inc. (ARRG) is an Oregon Non-Profit 501C (3) public service organization.  ARRG owns and operates the eighteen plus VHF and UHF repeaters that make up the statewide K7RPT Repeater system.  ARRG survives solely on your tax-deductible donations, so consider supporting ARRG by clicking here.   By joining ARRG, you will not only be helping to support the K7RPT Repeater System, you also will have access to members and technical resources to help you enjoy this great hobby.   ARRG was founded in 1977 so this would be our 44th year of providing quality repeater service to the Amateur Radio Community.  ARRG has also been a American Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated group since February 1983.  The purpose and intent of our team is to develop, operate and maintain a reliable, broad coverage, emergency communication repeater facilities capable of satisfying the regional amateur radio emergency communications need of our community.

If you are New to Amateur Radio or just new to ARRG and the K7RPT Repeater System, our technical team members are here to assist you by answering questions, chatting up your Ham related questions and generally going above and beyond by providing you in person help and support.  The ARRG technical team has provided knowledge to the entire Amateur Radio community by writing Articles on Repeater Builder and helping other Amateur Radio Clubs/Operators with their repeaters/equipment.

ARRG owns and operates repeaters throughout the State of Oregon, but our very first repeater was built and maintained by Dale Justice, K7WW.  Dale installed our very first repeater on South Saddle Mountain in the Oregon Coast Mountain Range.  ARRG's very first tower or antenna structure was nothing more than a wooden telephone pole that served several public safety agencies and ARRG simultaneously.  After the tower began to rot and fall over, the Public Safety Agencies weren't quite prepared to outlay funds for a new tower on such an emergency basis, so ARRG and the Amateur Radio Community sprang to action and quickly fund raised enough to purchase and install a commercial tower.  The new tower provides space for the K7RPT Repeater system as well as multiple Public Safety Agencies.  As you can see, our team is really serious when it comes to our repeaters and keeping sites ready for emergencies and any natural disasters that might occur.
